![]() Meowmere (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Star Wrath (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Influx Waver (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Seedler (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Moon Lord (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Ideally, you probably want this to be an even number because of the chests in the crafting area, you'll end up with 1 block unused otherwise (I might have to move the far left wall over one block to fix this later).Martian Saucer (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) I don't really measure this out or anything this one just happened to be 43 blocks between the NPC Apartments and the far wall. The size of the crafting area can vary I usually start with the door of the NPC apartments and go left until the NPC apartments are almost off-screen. ![]() I would advise against making it out of dirt or stone because of corruption issues (unless you Want your house getting hallowed or something lol). I made this one out of Marble, but doing so early game is dangerous (I got lucky and was able to get enough marble with very minimal trouble from hoplites or medusae). This house can be made out of any material, pick-n-mix whatever you want to use. All you need to do is get rid of the door next to the crafting area, and use that hallway to get into/out of the crafting area (or drop down through the Greenhouse). That hallway with the Pot Statue is optional, I included it to show what you can do if you want to keep NPCs out of your crafting area (you can also use it for teleporters too!), as some people might not like NPCs wandering around nearby while they're trying to make stuff. ![]() You might want to wait until you have at least a Cloud in a Bottle and a decent amount of rope and a grappling hook before you attempt to build something like this, might also want to have at least a Gold Pickaxe as you'll be doing a lot of tunnelling to get rid of the natural blocks where you are to build your house, but if you invest a few hours into doing this, the rest of the game becomes much faster and easier due to how easy it is to run into your house, dump your stuff fast and go back out. Note that in 1.3, they made it so you don't have to hammer out background blocks to place new ones, so it is even easier to do post 1.3! Stop there, and go up a few blocks to make sure you're above the Underground background, and start by building the hallway with the pot statue above, and just build upward. If built underground like this one is, it is not safe during Solar Eclipses/Blood Moons in Hardmode due to Wraiths, Reapers, etc spawning.īasically, start a Hellevator until you reach the very bottom of the background walls (where Surface meets Underground). No Teleporter Hub I usually place that to the right on the other side of the hellevator.ĥ). This is meant for functionality, not pretty looks.Ĥ). Not much aesthetic value, the whole thing is a giant box with lots of little boxes in it. No room for Trophies/Mannequins/Weapon Racks/Banners if you like to display your stuff.ģ). You can use Ultrabright or Ichor/Cursed Torches to get around this, or just simply squint a little? It doesn't get THAT dark, but some people might be turned off by it.Ģ). Not a lot of room for torches in the crafting area, so sometimes it might be a little dark at night. Is easy to build (the greenhouse is likely the last part you will complete due to how difficult it is to do the background walls until you unlock the planters).ġ). Has everything you ever need in a house except for a teleporter hub (you can add that below or off to the side if you wish)ģ). Very compact but yet has lots of room to store stuffĢ). The Mushroom Chests you see on the right side of the house are for blocks, and in the Greenhouse, the Mahogany Chest is for Ingredients, the Glass Chest for Potions, and the Marble one has Seeds + Staff of Regrowth in it.ġ). the brown chests underneath the crafting stations are for storing materials (the water chest is for fishing stuff, you can optionally put this in the Angler's room instead), the Gold Chests on the top row are for Weapons, Armor, and Accessories, and the Gold Chests on the Bottom Row are for aesthetic stuff (vanity clothing, etc). (I put the dryad there, because I think the theme fits, you could also put the Goblin there for quick access to reforges from the crafting room, or what-not). An Alchemy Lab right in the Greenhouse which also serves as an NPC home. Note in this picture, I have not killed the WoF yet, so I'm missing one row of planters for the fireblossoms.ĥ). A greenhouse (43 of every plant type + extra for dayblooms). A huge storage area, likely able to hold every weapon and accessory in the game, along with lots of places to store materialsĤ). A large crafting area, should be large enough to fit every crafting machine in the game.ģ). Living Quarters for everybody except the Truffle + 1 empty house so that you can move people around to your liking.Ģ).
